Committees

ESG Committee

The Environmental, Social, and Governance Committee serves as a knowledge center for resilience and sustainability topics; providing oversight and recommendations for related ULI Northwest grants, programs, and activities.

Management Committee

In Seattle, the Management Committee is composed of the chairs of all committees, task forces, and local product councils. Led by the District Council Chair, the Management Committee provides strategic oversight of local activities and programming.

Member Engagement Committee

The Member Engagement Committee works to assess membership needs, market ULI to new members and facilitate regular small-scale gatherings for new and existing members to find meaningful and engaging opportunities within ULI Northwest.

Programs Committee

The Programs Committee curates diverse, inclusive, and highly informative events for the district council. The committee leads the organization of our annual Emerging Trends program and a selection of all-member, marquee events.

Sponsorship Committee

The Sponsorship Committee leverages member-to-member connections to promote sponsorship of ULI Northwest’s programs and activities in both Oregon and Washington State.

Thriving Communities

This committee plans tours of neighborhoods and communities, with an emphasis on economic development and is one of ULI Northwest’s longest running committees.

UrbanPlan

The Seattle UrbanPlan Committee is currently working to launch the nation-wide program in Seattle. Volunteers visit classrooms to provide hands-on leadership for students as they learn about redevelopment and land use in a fictional town.

Young Leaders Group

YLG offers professionals under the age of 35 a variety of opportunities to become actively involved in helping shape the region’s conversations around land use planning and development.

Leadership Initiatives

CFL is a leadership and professional development program for mid-career professionals in the real estate industry. More than 100 land use and real estate professionals have benefited from this program and are now part of the global alumni network. CFL participants will engage with experienced leadership and executive coaches, industry experts, and national thought leaders on the region’s most pressing issues. Learn more about the program and when applications are open here.

Engage with a group of diverse, mid-career industry professionals poised to take on greater leadership roles in their respective industries over the next ten years. Selected CO-Chairs plan and facilitate internal discussions around topics impacting the NEXT cohort both professionally and personally. Members develop their leadership skills, access key leaders, and build connections with their industry peers. Learn more about the cohort and when applications are open here.

PFGs afford both young and experienced professionals the opportunity to develop a dynamic relationship from which both mentors and mentees benefit in a small group setting. Mentors are invaluable resources in helping guide and advise the mentees to actualize their career goals. Groups meet about once a month from March – September to learn from one another, build relationships, and discuss current trends. Learn more about the program and how to apply here.
