Created by the Housing Development Consortium in partnership with ULI Northwest, the Affordable Housing Toolkit presents 20 high-impact policy tools that local governments can use to bring more affordable housing to their community.
With support from the Washington State Department of Commerce, Sound Communities worked with Maul, Foster & Alongi and ECONorthwest to develop three new tools to help jurisdictions take on the challenge of implementing a Housing Benefit District. The Clallam County Economic Development Council was awarded a contract through the Washington State Department of Commerce’s Securing Federal Funding Initiative (SFFI) to perform market, regulatory, financial, and supply chain analyses relative to a proposed Advanced Cross-Laminated Timber (ACLT) Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) which uses thermally modified timber panels.
