The Bend Road Trip is an opportunity for NEXT Members from Seattle and Portland to learn about the history, present and future of central Oregon’s growth story as well as meet general ULI Members located in central Oregon (Central Oregon ULI Members do not need to be NEXT to attend!). Participants will learn from some of Bend’s longest standing land owners and developers about the transformation of the area from lumber town to a lifestyle destination region. Social activities will also provide opportunities for networking.

The format of the Road Trip is less formal than many other ULI events. The organizer can provide recommendations for hotels but no set group room rates at any particular hotel will be provided. Tours and get togethers will be either in Downtown Bend or within 2-3 miles of the City center.

Dates: September 21^st and 22^nd, 2023.

Location: Bend, Oregon

Cost: $100 – Your registration fee includes lunch and dinner on September 21^st as well as light breakfast and coffee on September 22^nd

General Schedule:

• Late morning presentation
• Lunch presentation at the WSPI offices followed by a tour of The Old Mill District and the Deschutes River waterfront with William Smith Properties Inc (WSPI)
• Networking happy hour and group dinner – Downtown Bend

September 22^nd

• Morning presentation and Tour of the NW Crossings neighborhood development with Brooks Resources Group
• We will meet at 8:30 am at ‘The Grove’ Marketplace in NW Crossings
• Optional afternoon social activities (golf, hiking, biking) – various locations.
