ULI Northwest Releases Alaska Junction TAP Report
ULI Northwest released a new Technical Assistance Panel (TAP) report focused on integrated transit-oriented development (TOD) opportunities at the future Alaska Junction light rail station in West Seattle. Developed in partnership with Sound Transit, the report outlines strategies for aligning affordable and market-rate housing with transit infrastructure, including recommendations for upzoning, early developer involvement, and leveraging federal financing tools. The panel’s insights highlight how thoughtful planning and public-private partnerships can unlock high-density, mixed-use development that supports both housing goals and transit ridership.
