Our Statement Against Anti-Asian Violence
ULI Northwest stands in solidarity with Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) in the Pacific Northwest and throughout the nation to denounce the rise of anti-AAPI rhetoric, violence, and racism. We express our deepest sympathy to AAPI victims and their loved ones, especially women and elders, who have faced hate-fueled attacks, harassment, discrimination, and xenophobia during the COVID-19 pandemic.
To our AAPI members, ULI Northwest is dedicated to continuing the difficult conversations and hard work towards implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion in all that we do.
ULI Northwest acknowledges the history of racism and discrimination against the AAPI community within the real estate and land use industry. Through our DEI initiatives, ULI Northwest will strive to remedy the mistakes of the past by ensuring we elevate the voices of our AAPI and all BIPOC members, neighbors, and community in the Pacific Northwest and work towards fighting all forms of racism.
