     Sold! Hacking Affordable Ownership

It has long been understood that the key to wealth-building in underserved communities lies in increasing the prevalence of home- and other land ownership.  But how do we move households from renting to owning when home prices across the country have risen, on average, 19% year-over-year and in Seattle, in particular, a whopping 25%?  This event pulls together a stellar group of private and non-profit executives to discuss how their organizations are creating opportunities for affordable “stakeholding” in one’s community, whether it’s through direct homeownership, co-operative ownership, or buy-in to neighborhood-specific REITs.
