    Shajay Bhooshan

    Shajay is an Associate Director at Zaha Hadid Architects where he co-founded and heads the Computation and Design research group (ZHACODE, 2007). He is an alumnus and a studio-master at the post-graduate course of Design Research Laboratory at the Architectural Association, London (AADRL, 2006). There he explores the intersection of computational geometry, video game technology, urban development, and industrialised construction. Shajay pursued his scientific interests in digital design and robotic fabrication during his Doctoral studies at the Block Research Group (BRG, 2022) at the ETH, Zurich and previously as a M.Phil. graduate from University of Bath (2016).

    Léonard Boussioux

    Assistant Professor of Information Systems & Operations Management, Foster School of Business

    Bonjour! I am Léonard, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management at the University of Washington, Foster School of Business, with an adjunct position at the Allen School of Computer Science and Engineering. I earned my Ph.D. in Operations Research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. My research combines operations research, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. I emphasize multimodal frameworks and data-driven decision tools, especially in healthcare and sustainability. I'm passionate about developing robust and explainable models to deploy cutting-edge predictive and prescriptive frameworks. My goal is to accelerate problem solving and innovation through Generative AI and the impact of such technology on the future of work. As a dedicated educator, I am launching an educational effort, Universal Artificial Intelligence, to disseminate state-of-the-art technological insights to vast audiences. I mentor and teach at all levels of subjects, such as optimization, data science, machine learning, AI, and more, to empower anyone to contribute analytical solutions for a better world. My commitment to education has been recognized by three teaching awards from MIT, including the Goodwin Medal, the institute's highest teaching recognition for a graduate instructor, and two from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington.     Bryan Copley

    Bryan is a leader in the Proptech industry with over two decades' experience at the intersection of real estate, technology, data and finance. In 2016 he co-founded CityBldr with Devyn Cairns, pioneering the use of AI in commercial real estate. Bryan is a frequent speaker at leading industry conferences and collaborates with universities including Stanford, Harvard, MIT, Berkeley, and more on the topics of real estate, design, housing policy and engineering. A husband and father of five, Bryan enjoys hiking, music composition, sports, chess, gaming, reading, writing and family trips to Marymoor Park with his dogs Rainy and Pepper. He believes deeply in the importance of building better cities, and is dedicated to contributing to his home city of Redmond, WA in his role as a planning commissioner.
