Carol is a co-founder and principal of The Lifework Institute. She brings more than 25 years experience coaching executives through personal and professional transitions and facilitating them and their organizations through periods of profound change.
A graduate of Duke University (BA Economics), Carol began her career as chief in-house economist for a $3 billion private bank in Washington, DC. She subsequently joined a Washington based executive career services and outplacement firm, moving from a staff position to Partner, ultimately managing the firm’s most profitable regional office in San Francisco.
In the mid-80’s Carol co-founded The Pharos Companies, a San Francisco based executive-level career consulting and coaching firm where she developed and introduced a series of leading edge, group-process focused training programs.
Through Pharos and its successor, The Lifework Institute, Carol has directed, coached or provided oversight for nearly 2,000 professional development assignments for executives currently functioning in corporate leadership positions throughout the U.S., Europe and the Pacific Rim. A skilled presenter and public speaker, Carol has designed and led well over 300 off-site leadership trainings, team-building efforts and total emersion retreats for individuals and organizations committed to growth and success.
