At the nexus of one of Seattle's most vibrant neighbourhoods, Ballard Avenue can be viewed as a case study of COVID's toll on main streets everywhere. Local Ballard business owners and community leaders will discuss the challenges they face (financial, health and safety, political, and public policy) and possible solutions as they plan their reopenings. Later, a panel of regional decision-makers will weigh in on the wider interventions that may help urban neighborhoods like Ballard recover and thrive post-pandemic.
