In 2017, Portland was ranked #3 on the “U.S. Markets to Watch” list in the ULI/PwC Emerging Trends in Real Estate report. Only four years later, in 2021, the city slipped down to 66th spot among 80 cities on the same list. This precipitous decline has everyone wondering whether Portland can bounce back from the  pandemic, protests, unrest, and natural disasters. This event will explore the ‘Portland is dead’ myth, acknowledging the very real challenges that the city faces while looking ahead optimistically to a brighter future.
