Showcase International - Bringing the best of the real estate world and forward-thinking urbanism to you through innovative virtual tours.

Scaling the Living Building Challenge in privately funded green buildings and sharing the learning around innovative living building systems.

Showcase International Episode 2 will explore two unique certified living buildings in the Pacific Northwest: the Bullitt Center in Seattle, Washington and the PAE Living Building in Portland, Oregon. Both of these living buildings share the same function - large urban office spaces. However, the Bullitt Center was built 12 years ago and was one of the first living buildings ever to be certified; and the developer-led PAE Living Building in Portland is under construction now.

In these tours, we will explore the design of these impressive and inspiring office spaces with an eye to lessons learned from the Bullitt Center as translated into the design of the PAE Living Building. We will pay special attention to water systems as many lessons have been learned around water system design since the initial living building challenge began.

In partnership with the International Living Futures Institute (ILFI), ULI Northwest and ULI Australia are excited to showcase a range of creative and inspiring living buildings on both sides of the globe. From the Pacific Northwest to Australia, a variety of certified living buildings will be showcased in a series of innovative virtual tours.
