For 113 years the public has been kept off a key stretch of Columbia River waterfront in downtown Vancouver, WA. After the closing of a paper mill operation on the property, fences remained, shielding the potential from the public’s eyes. That is, until a group of local investors purchased the property in 2008. An ensuing public-private partnership with the City of Vancouver, the Port of Vancouver, and BNSF Railway endured the test of an economic depression but is now on the rise.

ULI is proud to host the key partners that envisioned a world-class urban waterfront development and public park on the banks of Vancouver. The panelists will discuss the making of this development and the assets each partner brought to the table. The discussion will be followed by a guided tour of the Vancouver’s newest park and the development rising around them.

Take a visual tour over the current development.
