Oregon’s Housing & Transportation Future (Portland, OR)
We are pleased to announce a discussion on Oregon’s Housing and Transportation Future.
Word is out – we are a great place to live, work, and play! But as more people come to share our unique livability, we are losing the very elements we love that make our region so wonderful.
The Portland-Metro region is poised for significant change. Even as our economy grows, housing is out of reach for too many people. Low and middle-income Oregonians are struggling to find and keep a home. Traffic congestion is slowing us down while much of our critical infrastructure needs updated. The time to make choices about how we move forward with housing and transportation options for everyone in our community is at hand. These choices were all debated at the Oregon legislature this year.
Join us as we dive into the details of the 2017 legislative session. From the bipartisan transportation package that prioritizes transit, to a suite of housing bills that Speaker Kotek championed. Together we can take these lessons to explore how we can ensure all Oregonians thrive, with access to opportunity through housing, robust transportation options, and a strong economy.
