Event Recap: Capital Markets Roundtable – Stepping Outside Our Bubble

Last Thursday, ULI Northwest’s Capital Markets Task Force hosted a well attended roundtable discussion on trends in real estate at the scenic 51st Floor Conference Center at Two Union Square. Featured speakers Greg Brown from the Caprock Group, Nick Cicero from Freestone Capital, Dave Brunette from Russell Investments, and Pete Stone from Trinity Real Estate rotated around to the four tables to share their experiences in their respective areas of expertise and carried on spirited discussions with attendees. The roundtable discussion was followed by a reception catered by Ray’s Boathouse.

Swim with the Sharks at the 2013 ULI Fall Meeting

Take advantage of a unique opportunity to pitch your real estate proposal to investment professionals at the 2013 Fall Meeting in Chicago. ULI seeks entrepreneurs to present their business plans in a session modeled after the reality TV show “Shark Tank.” Panelists Cia Buckley, Robert C. Lieber, and Patricia R. Healy will provide their critiques–and perhaps their support! Submit your project abstract by Oct. 11.

Event Recap: History Hand-Crafted – The Revitalization of Pioneer Square

On Thursday, ULI Northwest hosted a tour of Pioneer Square highlighting many of the new businesses and projects that have been instrumental in the revitalization of Seattle’s oldest neighborhood. The event was well attended as four groups went out on separate tour routes. Tour goers were encouraged to take photos and post them to Instagram and Twitter with the hashtag #ULIPSQ to be used later in a slideshow at the reception.
