YLG Seattle Celebrates Earth Day with Spring (Street) Cleaning

To celebrate Earth Day, members of the Young Leader’s Group participated in Seattle Pacific University’s Spring Clean program. As part of the program, SPU provides supplies to volunteers to help in cleaning their communities. The group spent Saturday morning cleaning a 1-mile section of Broadway in Capitol Hill. In addition to litter removal, the team also stenciled storm drains, identifying inlets that release directly into Puget Sound during large water events. Together these volunteer efforts help to protect water quality and keep our city healthy.
